Swell from Hurricane Humberto hit Cape Hatteras, NC and the beachfront of Buxton got ravaged. The swell was nothing historic, but our oceanfront has had no sandbar or beach for many months now and we’re finally seeing the dramatic effects. Buxton went from losing 0 houses to the ocean over the years, to 7 in 2 weeks… 5 of them were yesterday, and 1 overnight last night.
Hurricane Humberto swell will continue to pound the coast for the coming days… so there is no telling how many more will go down.
