Due to forecasted extremely high wind gusts across Dare County and the potential for ocean overwash south of Oregon Inlet, all Dare County Schools will operate under a Remote Learning Day on Tuesday, October 28.
Students are advised to check their email for assignments and daily expectations.
For staff, Tuesday will be an Optional Workday. Those who do not feel safe traveling should contact their supervisor to discuss available options.
School officials will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates regarding Wednesday’s schedule if needed.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our school communities,” the district stated.
