Deputies: Man arrested after break-ins reported in Buxton

DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with felony breaking and entering in the Buxton area.

According to officials, Tuesday morning, deputies were dispatched to the Buxton area for reports of breaking and entering. Once deputies arrived, the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Taylor Jarvis, had already fled the scene.

After an investigation, deputies were able to secure a search warrant for Jarvis. He was then charged with felony breaking and entering and felony destruction of evidence.

Jarvis is currently being held at the Dare County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center without bond.
