DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) – A man was arrested on Sunday after a probation violation led to the seizure of meth, Dare County Sheriff Office deputies said.
According to officials, on Oct. 6 just after 8 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Detention Center in reference to a person arrested for a probation violation.
After a search of the individual, later identified as 39-year-old Jack Boyd Goodwin, deputies were able to seize “an amount” of methamphetamine. Goodwin was then charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises.
Currently, Goodwin is being held on a 48-hour hold.
