CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A woman was arrested during a traffic stop in Grandy after narcotics were found in her vehicle, the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Monday, deputies initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.
During the stop, K-9 unit Omar positively alerted to the odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle recovered over 10 grams of methamphetamine in various packages along with several unused bags and paraphernalia.
Stacey Gunnells, 34, was placed into custody for possession with intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle and drug paraphernalia.
Gunnells is being held without bond for pre-trial release for prior charges of possession.
