CURRITUCK, N.C. (WAVY) — A woman was arrested for drug possession after a traffic stop on US 158 on Tuesday.

According to officials, just before noon, a deputy with the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on 36-year-old Tiffany Mason for traffic violations. During the stop, the deputy found probable cause to search Mason’s vehicle.
As a result of the search, Mason was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance
- Possession of a schedule II controlled substance
- Possession of a controlled substance within a jail/prison
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Mason is currently being held at the Currituck County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
