Hyde County Schools has announced that Grace Ward, an exceptional third-grade teacher at Ocracoke School, has been named a finalist for the prestigious NCCAT 2025 Burroughs Wellcome Fund North Carolina Beginning Teacher of the Year (BTOY) Award.

“Grace’s dedication to her students, her school, and the Ocracoke community exemplifies the excellence in education that Hyde County Schools strives to provide,” noted a Hyde County Schools news release.
