The Duck Police Department has reported that for the period April 1-30, 2021, there were 955 calls for service, officers issued 52 enforcement actions, 678 business property checks were made and 10 extra patrols were conducted at the request of out-of-town property owners.

Noted incidents on the monthly report included:

Warrant service (Gannet Lane) – While attempting to serve Frederick Berger of Duck with an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior criminal charge, Berger assaulted a Duck Police Officer
