More than a game, students, staff, and community members came together at First Flight High School to watch an exciting lineup of basketball matchups while supporting the annual fundraiser known as the Good Guys versus Cancer Showcase.
Founded by First Flight’s athletic director, Chad Williams, the event has grown larger and more energetic each year.
In addition to local teams from Manteo, Hatteras, Currituck, and First Flight, the tournament now attracts schools from across the region and features standout players such as Nelson Neumann and Kobe Edwards, drawing even bigger crowds.
The tournament, which began on December 3, wrapped up on Saturday, December 6, with the final game honoring First Flight player Brody Woods, who received an award recognizing his exceptional effort.
Proceeds from the 7th annual Good Guys versus Cancer showcase benefit the American Cancer Society. For more information about the event, click here.
