HERTFORD, N.C. (WAVY) — Storms in North Carolina have damaged several homes and sent multiple to the hospital with injuries.
Officials with Perquimans County Emergency Operations Center said 13 mobile homes at the Longview Estates Mobile Home Park have been damaged due to severe storms. Officials said multiple people have been taken to the hospital with injuries.

Crews were dispatched to the scene just before 3:10 a.m. and are still on scene investigating. Public Safety and Utility Crews are still on scene.
Three survivors were transported to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. One family is being assisted by The American Red Cross.
10 On Your Side’s Deja Parker was sent to the scene and spoke with Michael Cartwright from the Inter-County Volunteer Fire Department.
“We began searching the trailers for any type of trapped victims or residents,” Cartwright said.
Cartwright said this kind of weather doesn’t come often and is pretty devastating for the small community.
The County Damage Assessment Teams is expected to be on the ground soon. There was a tornado warning in this area, but it has not been confirmed that the damage was caused by a tornado.
