November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month

Back in November 1983, President Ronald Reagan designated November as National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month. At the time, fewer than 2 million Americans had Alzheimer’s; today, the number of people with the disease has soared to nearly 5.4 million. Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the US.

People can live with this disease for 8-20 years with the help of 16 million Americans who provide un-paid care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Learn how you
