KITTY HAWK, N.C. (WAVY) – A traffic stop on Highway 158 led to a drug arrest Wednesday night.
According to officials, on Aug. 21 just after 11 p.m., deputies with the Dare County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 158 in Kitty Hawk.
A K-9 Unit was deployed during the stop, which led to the seizure of psilocybin mushrooms and THC.
As a result, 21-year-old Julia L. Knapp of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and felony possession of THC. Knapp was issued a $15,000 secured bond in relation to the charges.
