Early next week an intersection in Beaufort County will undergo safety improvements.

On Tuesday, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will install an all-way stop at VOA Road and Cherry Run Road in Washington. Currently, Cherry Run Road drivers do not have to stop.

An intersection in Lenoir County will also undergo improvements. NCDOT will install on Monday an all-way stop at Grainger Station and Sharon Station roads northeast of Kinston. Grainger Station Road currently does not have to stop.

Drivers should keep an eye out for crews working at these intersections and prepare for the new traffic design. Crews are expected to be finished each day with the changes by the early afternoon.

Information on all-way stops can be found on NCDOT’s safety and mobility webpage. For real-time travel information, visit DriveNC.gov or follow NCDOT on social media.
