Dare County Schools, in partnership with Dare County Emergency Management and the Dare County Sheriff’s Department, conducted a routine emergency response drill on Friday morning, August 15, 2025. The exercise tested the use of the RAVE Emergency Panic Button app, a mobile safety tool designed to enhance emergency response in schools.

The drill took place at the Dare County 911 Call Center, where district personnel, county emergency management teams, and local law enforcement agencies worked side-by-side to observe the app in action and strengthen emergency response procedures.
