The Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation is excited to announce its annual Thanks for Giving Coins for Cancer event, scheduled to take place at the Cape Hatteras Elementary School from November 17 to November 21, 2025. During this event, children are encouraged to bring in spare change with their parents’ permission to help raise funds for the foundation. Remarkably, 100% of the funds raised will support residents of Hatteras Island who are battling cancer.
Students will bring in change daily, and bills and checks are also welcome. At the end of the week, the totals will be tallied up, and the class that raises the most money will win a cupcake party and a trophy for their classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about contributing to a worthy cause and supporting their community!
