The Hatteras Village Holiday Trail of Lights will return for the 2025 holiday season, offering an illuminated evening walk along the Sea Breeze Nature Trail beginning November 29, weather permitting.

The annual tradition turns the quarter-mile path off Eagle Pass Road into a glowing holiday walkway, welcoming visitors and locals to enjoy a peaceful stroll beneath the stars through early January.

First opened around 2011, the Sea Breeze Nature Trail winds through a blend of maritime forest and salt marsh environments, with elevated boardwalks, interpretive signs, and an observation deck overlooking the water. Normally a favorite spot for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts, the trail takes on a special seasonal charm as holiday lights guide the route from start to finish.

The trail will be open nightly through early January 2026. Limited parking is available at the site.

Other planned December events for the holidays include the Breakfast with Santa event and the Hatteras Village Christmas Parade. Follow Hatteras Village on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HatterasVillage for more information. All events are sponsored by the Hatteras Village Civic Association.
