After a lengthy discussion at the September 2 meeting, Southern Shores Town Council members approved amendments that would put a one-year time requirement on resubmitting applications that have been previously denied, and a permanent ban on resubmitting applications that were denied as part of a quasi-judicial decision.

Prior to the vote, deputy town manager/planning director Wes Haskett explained that the change would apply to administrative development approvals, zoning map amendments, regulation amendments or text amendments.
