The Tri Villages Market, Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands’ newest summertime shopping tradition, will continue to bring dozens of local vendors to Waves every Wednesday through September 24, 2025.

Now in its third season, the market has quickly become a staple event for the Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo communities, drawing thousands of visitors each summer. The weekly market is held at Camp Hatteras Campground, located at 24798 N.C. Highway 12 in Waves, with vendors set up either inside the conference center or on the soundside lawn, depending on the weather.

“Tri Villages Market is always rain or shine,” said organizer Megan Griffin, owner of Highway 12 Shirts, in an earlier interview. “Thank goodness for the conference center!”

Griffin first launched the market in April 2023, and since then, the event has expanded each year with more vendors and a growing variety of offerings.

In addition to specialty foods and drinks, the market showcases a wide range of local arts and crafts, including jewelry, woodwork, photography, stained glass, candles, clothing, souvenirs, toys, Gyotaku, permanent jewelry, and even paper quilling.

The Tri Villages Market is held every Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., offering a chance for both locals and visitors to shop, explore, and experience the creativity of the Outer Banks community.

Market updates and vendor highlights are shared regularly on Tri Villages Market at Camp Hatteras’ Facebook page.
