Siblings, from left, Clara, Crawford and Ella Higgins, of Roanoke, Va., had a nice catch of bluefish and Spanish mackerel during an early morning outing at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head.
“We had a great time,” Ella said.
The family recalled that their grandfather fished the pier many times in the past.
Jennette’s Pier is owned and operated by the North Carolina Aquariums division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
