A proposed change to the Juniper Creek Game Land is on the table as part of the project to replace a bridge over Muddy Branch in the state nature preserve in Brunswick County.
The amendment would provide a permanent drainage easement and temporary construction easement. A small amount of right-of-way is needed to replace the bridge. The public is asked to provide feedback regarding the proposed change by July 28.
A virtual public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday with the North Carolina Department of Transportation representatives on the need to replace the bridge on Makatoka Road.
